The PERFECT Chocolate Chip Cookie

Okay, okay, I know you clicked on this post to see the recipe so I will spare you the 3 page long story about how I got this recipe. Instead I will just tell you that it is easy, quick, and incredibly tasty. It has definitely become a staple in my house for when we need a sugary treat to bring to parties or anything else!

Melting Butter

Sear beef fillets on high heat for 2 minutes per side to form a golden crust. Let it cool before proceeding to keep the beef tender.

Heat oven to 325F.

Melt butter and let cool for about 5 minutes or until opaque.

In a large bowl, mix brown sugar, granulated (white) sugar, egg + egg yolk, and vanilla extract. Add in melted butter once cooled.

In a smaller bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, cornstarch, and salt.

Add dry ingredients into wet ingredients, folding and not over-mixing ("What does that mean?" "You FOLD it in"). Add in chocolate chips (as many as your heart desires).

Form balls of dough and place on parchment lined cookie sheet or in a parchment lined Tupperware. Place in fridge for 30-40 minutes OR in the freezer for 20-30 minutes.

Bake for 13-15 minutes or until lightly golden brown.

Instructions

2 ⅓ cup All Purpose Flour

1 tsp Baking Soda

1 tbps Cornstarch

½ tsp Salt

1 tbsp Vanilla Extract

¾ cup Unsalted Butter (melted and cooled)

1 cup Brown Sugar

½ cup Granulated (white) Sugar

1 Egg + 1 Egg Yolk (room temperature)

1 ½ cup Chocolate Chips (measure with your heart)
